San Antonio Homeowner Delayed Water Damage Restoration and Loses Floor
In San Antonio properties with water damage, hardwood flooring has a small window of opportunity for restoration because of the way wood readily absorbs water. The boards may twist, cup and buckle, but in most cases can get dried and need little to no sanding and refinishing for reuse in the home. Unfortunately, the homeowner waited too long to start the cleanup process and the floorboards had no potential for drying and reuse. The techs removed the boards and dried the subfloor to prep it for installation of new flooring and the property owner decided to go with a new wall color to match the updated look of the room.
